Magellan Survives

Magellan Survives
On 1521, Humabon and Zula would join the battle with Magellan and defeated the the force of Lapulapu and for that reason, Magellan would be able to pacify Cebu and Butuan under the Spanish crown as colonies of Spain and the Spanish would initially establish Cebu as the capital of the Islands of San Lazaro which would be later named as Filipinas.

Since Butuan had a large territory on Mindanao, the Spanish would be able to establish suzerainty of a large swath of the Island due to the ruler of Butuan bowing over the Spanish which would later threaten the survival of the small and fledgling Sultanate of Maguindanao which was just established.

You basically just changed a very large chunk of Philippine history. So Lapu-Lapu won't be known as a hero. Also wasn't Magellan trying to find a route into the Moluccas rather than establish a settlement in Cebu?

So he would abandon his mission and proclaim himself governor of the Cebu settlement? In that case, the surviving ships have to return to Spain.
He will find a route to Mollucas and secure both Mollucas and Mindanao in his lifetime destroying the Maguindanao Sultanate at its birth.

The best way to butterfly the death of Magellan is to butterfly the Conquest of Tondo but it would establish Luzon and Sulu as a Portuguese Discovery since those were under Majapahit influence and suzerainty which means it will be excluded from any Spanish discovery.

Yes he would declare himself that but he wont abandon the mission, he'll just send his boys for it
He will secure Butuan and annihilate the Maguindanao Sultanate since Maguindanao and Lanao weren't Muslim back then, only the prosetylizer and the Sultan and Butuan made a blood compact with the Spanish and certain Mindanao leaders made a blood compact with the Spanish as well so he will consolidate Mindanao.
