What if the United Kingdom of the Netherlands stays united in 1830. As a result, Luxembourg isn’t split and stays united too, under the Dutch king who is Grand Duke of Luxembourg.

What would have been the future of Luxembourg? How would the integration of it into The Netherlands go, or would the Germans go to war with the Netherlands to integrate it into Germany. And what would be the effects on the Luxembourg Crisis and status of Luxembourg as neutral country? Or would both butterfly away?

Thoughts?

None of this will happen, because the Prussians and the French will be content with being under the control of three countries, and the united Holland is a buffer for the French from the Prussians, and the Prussians from the French.

The Prussians would not try to fight the Netherlands because they did not want to anger the United Kingdom.

I think Luxembourg will be treated like Friesland, but Luxembourg will have more of a Dutch character than a German-French one.

It is unfortunate that the dynasty that rules Luxembourg (nominally Orange-Nassau but actually Borbourne-Parma) will have to search for another throne.

Only happens if the s Queen consort of the Netherlands and Grand Duchess consort of Luxembourg, wife of William III, King of the Netherlands and Grand Duke of Luxembourg births a son instead of a girl like OTL as Luxembourg had the Salic law which meant that no female could take the throne.
