Louis XVI dies before birth of Dauphin?

If Louis XVI had somehow died before the birth of Louis Joseph, The Dauphin then the French throne would have been succeeded by his younger brother Louis Stanislas (future Louis XVIII). What would the implications be of Louis Stanislas' earlier reign?

Fun and games, most certainly. It was the events of the Revolution and exile that shaped Provence/Monsieur/Louis XVIII. Although, reportedly, he was more intelligent and perhaps better suited for the role of than Louis XVI was, so IDK. Obviously, he isn't going to be on the throne of a nation weary of 20yeears of near-continuous warfare, so perhaps that will also affect his reign.

When he was King of France in OTL, Louis XVIII does seem to have been a sensible ruler who realised that the times were changing and that the monarchy needed to change with it. On his death his brother Charles X tried to turn back time and lost his throne as a consequence. If, as per ATL, Louis becomes King in say 1780 he might have had time to turn things around in France and either prevent or at least delay the revolution. He seems to have been brighter and most self confident than Louis XVI and this could have led to him trying to tackle Frances's problems head on, perhaps with some success.
