Hey guys!

This is my first TL, even though I've been a member here for at least a year and a half and a lurker for far longer. :):):)

I like the older periods in history, but messing with them is difficult, to say the least. I've seen way too many Ancient PoD TLs die/go on hiatus. Also, worldbuilding is fun, but really hard.

So I've chosen a PoD that's been floating around the collective heads of our Filipino members, myself included. :D:D:D

Also, it's finals week for me, so don't expect too much at the moment.:eek::eek:

“Andres Novales. Soldier. Revolutionary. Zealot. Atheist. Ruthless dictator. Fiery republican.
He was our first Caesar, who was a Cincinnatus, who has defined our nation and made us who we are. Many things to many people, and yet for all that, we know so little of him.
What we do know comes from after that date forever infamous: the first of June, in the year of Our Lord 1823, when he and his brother[1] stepped into the pages of history...”

- Elena Rodriguez (full name Leandra Elena Rodriguez y Quimpo), from Our Caesars: the Rises and Falls of the Philippine Empires (2009)

[1] well, this is our PoD. In OTL, Mariano Novales refuses to allow his brother into Fort Santiago, asking for reinforcements from Pampanga. By the end of the day, he’s arrested and almost executed alongside him, and the ordeal leaves him half-mad.
In TTL, well... let’s see what happens.

---
Comments please! I have a few ideas of what'll happen next, but I'd really like input. :):)
