Mary Tudor, Queen of France, had two sons by Charles Brandon, both named Henry - the elder (1516-1522) and the younger (1523-1534). Unfortunately I cannot find much information on the elder Henry, but I know that the younger boy's death was the cause of royal ambitions in his sister Frances, mother of Lady Jane Grey.

During their brief lifetimes, both boys possessed the dual qualifications of being both English and male. That said, I think it is one of the most sadly underused PODs in alt-history. (the only one I know of is where Henry VIII dies before Mary I's birth and the marriage of his younger sister to Louis XII).

But what if one of the Henry Brandons survives. Does he become a personage like Henry Fitzroy, with no shot at the throne? And is Henry VIII still as driven to father a male heir or not so much?

Thoughts and opinions are appreciated.
