I remember reading a Russian TL a couple of years ago with the premise that Lenin dies before 1903 and as a result there is no Bolshevik-Menshevik split, in turn leading the various Russian communists to learn how to compromise and work withe others. As a result, they end up committed to a peaceful, democratic revolution. I've been trying to track it down but can't find it, and was wondering if anyone else remembered it and could point me in the right direction?
