Lobster War Goes Hot?

Just wondering if the French and Brazil went to war, what would be the outcome? Would French Guiana be threatened by Brazil? How would the navies fight?

Considering how those in Jânio Quadros' inner circle thought he was off his rocker, if Brazil did end up going to war there would have been an instant military coup and the new administrators would sue for peace. This while the rest of the population asks among themselves "Que porra é essa?" (WTF happened?)

Probably a very timid action where every excuse to avoid contact is used, followed by Dan1988s coup. The absolute worst I can see is one Belgrano-esque loss to the French Navy.

Please, call me Dan. (Not to be confused with the other AH.commer that has the username "Dan".)

And I can believe that. All because the powers that be in Brasília were concerned about Jânio's sanity. There's a great story surrounding his meeting with then-Argentine President Arturo Frondizi where Congress banned him from leaving Brazil, so the meeting was held on a bridge spanning the two countries in the middle of the Uruguay River. There were soldiers stationed along the Argentine-Brazilian border (as the demarcation) and Jânio's entourage followed his every move just in case he accidentally stepped over the border and hence "left" Brazil. Jânio was also infamous for saying things like "Bebo-o porque é líquido, se fosse sólido comê-lo-ia" ("I drink it [liquor] because it is liquid, if it were solid I would eat it") and even banned bikinis as beachwear. And that's only scratching the surface - there's tons of stories surrounding the man, almost all of them funny to the hilt.
