Livonian Brothers win Battle of Saule

Since the Northern Crusades seem to be a hot topic on this form all of a sudden.

What if the Livonian Brothers won the Battle of Saule? Could the brothers conquer Lithuania? Would Lithuanian unification, under Mindaugas, be pushed back a few years? Would the Livonian brothers still merge with the Teutonic knights?

I would say first of all if they win the battle, there is less chance of the various rebellions which followed their defeat occurring. These uprisings effectively were reversals of thirty years of conquests by the Sword-Brothers in Lithuania.

There is also the obvious prospect of the Sword-Brothers remaining an independent order, as opposed to becoming a branch of the Teutonic organization.

Further, if the Samogitian leader, Vykintas is killed, his rivalry with Mindaugas to hold the Kingship of Lithuania is finished. Mindaugas, a Roman Catholic from about 1250 or so, could help spread Christianity more quickly without his rival for political office still around. He still has other enemies locally, such as Daumantas of Pskov, but being rid of Vykintas has got to help.
