Little War within France 1813-14

Thread inspired by my recent re-reading of the Shapre series- in SHARPE'S REVENGE, where 1 point emphasised in the Hist note was that Wellington's army didn't face a guerilla uprising a la Spain, when they invaded across the Pyrenees in 1813/14, since Wellington insisted on his men paying for everything from the local populace with silver coin (much of which was forged by expert forgers among the redcoats, but anyways...) and also enforcing strict discipline on any redcoats for infractions against the locals such as pillage or rape. However, could a guerilla uprising have still sprung up in France during the Anglo-Spanish-Portuguese advance despite Wellington's best efforts ?

Possibly, if the Allies stayed much longer. Fiddling with the Congress at Aix-la-Chapelle and the withdrawal of Allied occupation forces in 1818 might work out better tho.

Well, there was some partisans activities against invading coalition troops in the North-East of France in 1814-1815, so I don't se why it couldn't happen in the South-West as well.
