Say th CSA won the war by Lincoln loosing the Presidential election in 1864 and the new government negotiating piece. Give me a list of presidents from then till now. Or if that is too long give me some early CSA Presidents and some modern day ones.

After the Truce of 1846 Between US President Andrew Johnson and CS President Jeff Davis, the Confederacy adopted and ratified a new Constitution. Some of the provisions, rather progressive at the time, were the established terms and term limits of elected officials. Just as in the US, Confederate lower house (which came to be known as the Peoples' House) were elected every two years. However, in the upper house (Which became known as the Senate), members were elected to four year terms in two classes, with said elections occuring with the People's House elections. Members of the People's House were limited to six terms (12 years), while mebers of the Senate were limited to four terms (sixteen years). The President and Vice President would be elected on one ticket to a single six-year term, the only exception being that a sitting President could only be elected to continue had he or she only held office less than two years. The only other except was to the President at the time of Ratification, which was, at that time, Jefferson Davis.

Political parties at the time formed to be the conservative Whig party, the moderate Democratic Party, and the liberals, although somewhat disorganized, Labor Party.

The following is a list of presidents of the confederacy with brief dialogs citing contemporary circumstances, and listing the losing tickets in each election.

1868 Jefferson Davis (D-MS) & Alexander Stephens (D-GA) defeating Gen. James Longstreet (W-SC) and Benjamin Rice (W-AR) ...Labor had no Presidential candidate this year

1874 James Longstreet (W-SC) & George Eustis (W-LA) defeating Alexander Stephens and John Wright (D-TN) and Gaylord Bishop (L-VA) and David Dabney (L-TX)

shortly after the 1874 election, the Labor party disbanded, with most of its membership joinging the Democratic Party.

1882 Matthew Ransom (W-NC) & Morgan Hamilton (W-TX) defeating Thomas Watts (D-AL) & James Harper (D-NC)

1888 Thomas Watts (D-AL) & James Berry (D-AR) defeating George Millhouse Ryan (W-VA) & Robert Davidson (W-FL)

1894 James Berry (D-AR) & Lucius Lamar (D-MS) defeating Howell Jackson (W-TN) & John Brower (W-NC)

Lucius Lamar died before he could take the oath of office. At this time there was no provision for succession to the Vice Presidency. The Senate Leader assumed the duties without having the title of VP.

1900 Thomas Johnston (D-NC) & Newton Blanchard (D-LA) defeating Peter McKnight (W-AL) & Henry Bowen (W-VA)

Thomas Johnston died in office in 1902, and Blanchard ascended to the Presidency. The law had not yet taken effect until 1904 allowing Blanchard to choose a Vice President to fill the vacancy. He would choose Texas Senator Roger Mills.

1906 Roger Mills (D-TX) & Woodrow Wilson (D-VA) defeating Admiral Roger Trappe (W-VA) and Jeter Pritchard (W-TN)

by this time, the second world war took place..see later entry for details.. Spain ceding Cuba, Puerto Rico, and its portion of Hispaniola to the CSA (Britain would cede Jamaica and its other caribbean possessions to the USA)

1912 Woodrow Wilson (D-VA) & Walter Brandon (D-AL) defeating Gov. Timothy Lane (W-TX) & Jude Youngblood (W-VA)

1918 Peter Colleton (W-SC) & Luke Lord (W-TN) defeating Jeff Davis (D-AR) -- no relation to the former President -- & William Lamar (D-FL)

1924 James Longstreet III (W-NC) & Emil Dags (W-VA) defeating Charles Lowell Leatherby (D-VA) & Vernon Kyle (D-AL)

1930 Adam Dickens (D-GA) & John Garner (D-TX) defeat Wade Hampton IV (W-VA) & Edward Ogilve (W-TN)

1936 John Garner elected to continue after assuming the Presidency a year earlier due to assassination of President Dickens with VP Andrew White Jr (D-NC) defeating William Doak (W-VA) & Thomas Jackson (W-GA)

1942 William Doak (W-VA) & Strom Thurmond (W-SC) defeating John Bankhead Jr. (D-AL) & Louis Walling (D-AR)

1948 Harvey Miller (D-GA) & Spencer Mooney (D-MS) defeating Daniel Dove (W-NC) and Lester Ball (W- TN)

In 1950, the treaty of unification was signed, reuniting the USA with the Confederacy. Consequently, Harvey Miller was the last President of the CSA.
