List of Alternate Monarchs and Aristocratic Lineage

Even if their brothers live/survive here?
Yes. Ferdinand II would still want that match and use it for annexing Navarre or trying to do it. Remember also who with a surviving Miguel and no Philip around (and that would likely change the birthdates of all his children after Isabella as OTL Ferdinand was conceived and born in Spain) Ferdinand would NOT remarry to Germaine (or anyone else) and so would keep power and influence in Castile until his death

Well, this one will have to come in parts - first, England and the House of Grebein until 1400.

  1. Does England still conquer Wales?
  2. Has Spain been close to inheriting Portugal as of the late 16th century?
  3. Is the House of Valois still around at the end of the 16th century?
  4. Does Norway remain independent longer than in OTL?
  5. When did France inherit Brittany?

1. No.
2. At that point, just in the succession crisis of 1383.
3. Only the Alençon branch.
4. Yes, because it doesn't enter a personal union with Sweden.
5. 1515, when François I became King of France, since he was already married to the Duchess of Brittany by that point.

Let’s just say none of the Navarre girls survived then.
Pretty unlikely as Catherine of Navarre had 6 girls of a good age for Miguel and three of them reached adulthood in OTL. And after them both Eleanor and Isabella of Austria would be likelier matches than Mary Tudor

Catherine had five sons but only two made it into adulthood, so it’s not impossible. As for Eleanor and Isabella, true, but I wanted Mary for Miguel so let’s just say dowry issues happen or Isabella of Portugal marries Charles V for that alliance.

Charles will NOT marry Isabella of Portugal (if she existed at all) or another ATL sister of Miguel as an English princess or Anne of Hungary are better and more useful matches for him. Mary to Miguel is extremely unlikely as she has no reason to be chosen over other better matches

Isabella of Castile still dies ittl and Manuel remarries to Maria of Aragon (that was the plan while Miguel ittl aiui), so Isabella still exists.
Mary to Miguel is extremely unlikely as she has no reason to be chosen over other better matches
It renews the Anglo-Portuguese alliance and an alliance with Brittany which is well positioned to attack France in the Italian Wars. Plus, I just wanted an Englis match for Miguel in general, so…

[1] His older brother Francis dies before Henry's marriage to Catherine de Medici.
[2] Children of Philip II of Spain and Maria of Portugal, who doesn't become duchess of Viseu ITTL.
[3] Son of John III of Portugal and Catherine of Austria, died young OTL.
[4] Gender-swapped Joanna of Austria.
[5] Son of Maximilian II, Holy Roman Emperor and Maria of Austria, died young OTL.
[6] Son of William, Duke of Jülich-Cleves-Berg and Catherine of Austria.
[7] Son of Charles III, Duke of Lorraine and Margaret of France.
[8] OTL Jane Grey.
[9] Granddaughter of George Boleyn.
[10] Thomas Cromwell isn't executed ITTL so his family keeps the earldom of Essex.
[11] ATL daughter of Margaret Clifford and Henry Stanley.
[12] Son of James V of Scotland and Mary of Guise, died young OTL.

Isabella of Castile still dies ittl and Manuel remarries to Maria of Aragon (that was the plan while Miguel ittl aiui), so Isabella still exists.
I am not sure about it. With a surviving Miguel is far likelier seeing Maria married to Vladislaus II of Hungary and Joanna of Naples (Ferdinand II’s widowed niece) as second wife for Manuel. Keep in mind who in OTL Manuel remarried to Maria only three months after Miguel’s death

It renews the Anglo-Portuguese alliance and an alliance with Brittany which is well positioned to attack France in the Italian Wars. Plus, I just wanted an Englis match for Miguel in general, so…
English match for Miguel is extremely unlikely in my opinion as the alliance is not so valuable and Trastamaras and Avis more often than not married close relatives

English match for Miguel is extremely unlikely in my opinion as the alliance is not so valuable and Trastamaras and Avis more often than not married close relatives
England's still a good alliance and Mary would be a beautiful bride with a good dowry, so I fail to see the issue

She is the younger daughter of an upstart King… Eleanor would bring better connections, alliance and dowry (and she is sister/daughter of Miguel’s heir(ess) presumptive) than Mary while Ferdinand II would strongly ask for a Navarrese match for his grandson (and denying him that would NOT be a great idea when Aragon is the only Kingdom who Miguel is NOT guaranteed to inherit).

1. Normal sucession - i made a mistake on the tree - Eystein V and Margaret were Magnus' children, not Eystein IV's.
2. The 13th century. It doesn't control all of OTL Wales, though - Monmouthshire and Glamorgan remain under English control, and in any case, Wales tends to be allied to England.
3. Sweden, Norway, Scotland, Prussia and Denmark.
4. Died of natural causes.
5. Somewhat - Gaelic still remains widely spoken in the Highlands.

......heir of his firstborn vs. whom exactly? Why isn't he guaranteed Aragon (especially as Ferdinand would NOT want to break the union with Castile)?

I presume that might be because he descends through the female line, but the only alternative is the duke of Segorbe.
