List of Alternate Monarchs and Aristocratic Lineage II

France can do very little against a previous engagement AND without the OTL defeat of Brittany (who here will NOT happen). And England would NOT have Brittany as the Prince of Wales would not be the heir of Brittany. If anything France will push for a shift of the engagement from Edward to Richard for keeping the two countries divided (Brittany would agree to it and also England)
If you really don't like that version there is alternative: Anne of Brittany died in childhood like all her siblings, Charles IX married CoA:

Elizabeth of England (1466-1519) m. Charles VIII (1470-1500) King of France

1) Charles IX (1487-1512) King of France, m. Catherine of Aragon (1485-1536)

2) Louis XII (1489-1543) King of France, m. Francioise of Alençon (1490-1550)

3) Elizabeth (1491)

4) Philip (1494)

5) Anne (1496-1497)

6) John (1498-1553) Duke of Anjou, m. Charlotte of Longueville (1512-1549)

[1] Her foreign connections make it that Katherine (although English born) is seen as a better match
[2] Juan II dies in 1461 instead. While Joan is relatively “low” born, she is still the highest ranking female at the English court
[3] He sought Anne/Elizabeth of York’s hand OTL for a second wife, I don’t see why he wouldn’t try here

I love it! I take it the WOTR are averted here?

Another little tree…

Marie Stuart, Queen of Scotland (b. 1542) married Francis II, King of France (1544-1562) in 1558

  2. Francis I, King of Scotland and England (b. 1562) married Arabella Stuart (b. 1575)

Not my usual sandbox (but we have an equal opportunity British royal family: capable of offending practically everybody in some form or fashion :p) :

To apologize to @FalconHonour for not remembering Diana Mosley's married surname:

@VVD0D95 my apologies that I've removed a princess of Wales you've mentioned as being your favourite

Elizabeth II, Queen of Great Britain & Northern Ireland [1952-2022] (1926-2022) m: 1947 Philip of Greece & Denmark, Duke of Edinburgh (1921-2021)

Kathleen “Kick” Kennedy (1920-1948) 1m: 1944 William Cavendish, Marquess of Hartington (1917-1944); 2m: 1946 Peter Wentworth-Fitzwilliam, 8e Earl Fitzwilliam[2] (1910-1948)

Caroline (b.1985)
Charles Augustus, 10e Earl Fitzwilliam (b.1986)
Jacqueline (b.1989)

[1] Daughter of Deborah Mitford, Duchess of Devonshire, OTL died in infancy. We're not saying they have a wonderfully happy marriage, but I suspect that the closer "age gap" might make it "easier". I left the names of Prince Charles' sons as OTL because I was lazy.
[2] He successfully obtains a divorce from his alcoholic wife, Olive Plunkett and marries Kick Kennedy
[3] Sadly Charles Joseph (CJ) was born a month premature. His mother went into early labour and died at being given the news of her second husband’s death in an aeroplane crash
[4] Daughter of Michael Temple-Canfield (rumoured illegitimate son of the duke of Kent) and Caroline Lee Bouvier (ergo, niece of Jackie Onassis)

I love this! I've been searching for an ALT where Kathleen's kids or grandchildren marry into the BRF, since I think if she and her husband (or peter) had live one of most definitely would married into the family. A Kennedy on the throne of England? how crazy lol.

glad I could help. Figure Mama Rose Kennedy would be as against Kick's remarriage to a divorcé as she was against Kick's first marriage to Hartington. And there'd probably be nasty anti-papist comments (these rose OTL when there was talk that Charles would marry Marie Astrid of Belgium as well IIRC) when TTL Will-Kate start dating...but that said, given that Kick went against the Catholic (and Anglican) church in both her marriages (allowing her kids to be raised Anglican in the first) and marrying a divorcé while their former spouse was still alive, might buy them some grace

Philip II of Spain b 1527 m Jeanne d'Albret, Queen of Navarre b 1528
Issue:

-Infante Carlos b 1545 d 1547
-Infanta Isabella Juana b 1550
-Philip III of Spain b 1554
-Infante Ferdinand b 1555
-Infanta Margarita Carlota b 1558

I think Rose got over her first marriage to Harington, she wrote a letter irl saying that she can't wait to see them both in the states but sadly Billy died. I think she was somewhat more reasonable in her feelings about Peter since he was still married and didn't have the best reputation. Anyways this timeline would be wild, a President's niece or great-niece marrying a British royal.

Another tree on a different timeframe from my usual
POD is Hartington winning the election in February 1944 instead of losing it

William John Robert Cavendish, Duke of Devonshire (b. 1917) married Kathleen Agnes Kennedy (b. 1920) in 1944
  1. Alice Elizabeth Cavendish (b. 1946)
  2. Blanche Dorothy Rose Cavendish (b. 1948)
  3. Edward Joseph Cavendish, Marquess of Hartington (1949-1963)
  4. Evelyn Deborah Cavendish (b. 1951)
  5. John Robert Cavendish, Duke of Devonshire (b. 1953)
  6. Katherine Anne Beatrice (b. 1955) married Charles III, King of Great Britain (b. 1948)

If only this was in OTL....
It's sad because this could've happened, especially since the Cavendish family are/were close to the British Royals. I wonder how people would've react though.
Yes. William was seen as the ideal domestic candidate for Elizabeth (only neither of them had ever any inclination in that sense) so their children marrying would have sense.
Katherine and her siblings would be all Anglicans, so no trouble on the religious side… If you mean her being niece of a JFK and RFK who followed the OTL path, that is a very good question for which I have no answer
