Lincoln and Davis: Save their sons and then what?
Sorry about the typo if there is a thread manager who can change it please do.
One interesting parallel that exists between the USA's president Abraham Lincoln and his CSA counterpart Jefferson Davis is that they both lost one of their sons during the American Civil War. Lincoln lost his son William Wallace Lincoln on February 20, 1862 after falling ill. Davis lost his son Joseph Evan Davis on April 30, 1864 when he was killed by a fall from an up stairs balcony.
I am interested by the idea of how the behavior of Lincoln and Davis might have been different if either of their sons had not died. As well as how some events during the war could have be changed due to such a POD.
Does anyone here have any ideas about what butterflies could be created if either boys had not died as they did?
