Lesser known alternate countries

Federal Republic of Central America, although i prefer to call it by the less accurate name of the United states of Central America.

I've always taken interest in the Burr Conspiracy, which was when Aaron Burr attempted to establish a nation consisting of the USA's western territories following his duel with Alexander Hamilton. It's just such a bizarre idea and it's even weirder with Aaron Burr in charge.
The real funny thing is that Alexander Hamilton tried the exact same thing.

Hamilton met with the British and James Wilkinson (the same general that met with Burr) and made a plan where Hamilton would personally lead an army to go Napoleon on Spanish Mexico. Instead of handing Louisiana and Mexico over to the United States allegedly Hamilton would create a new nation in the west with British backing.

John Adams told him to get the hell out of his office.

There's an excerpt (about two pages) from the Chernow biography on Hamilton that you can read here.

As well as a letter regarding the conspiracy written by Hamilton here:

With regard to the enterprise in question I wish it much to be undertaken but I should be glad that the principal agency was in the UStates—they to furnish the whole land force necessary. The command in this case would very naturally fall upon me—and I hope I should disappoint no favourable anticipation. The independency of the separated territory under a moderate government, with the joint guarantee of the cooperating powers, stipulating equal privileges in commerce would be the sum of the results to be accomplished.

the Federal Republic of Central America seems like an interesting country that if it survived could have been interesting to see.
