Lenin, Trotsky, and Bolsheviks seen after a White Victory in Russia

In this, Lenin is killed by Fanny Kaplan in September 3, 1918, and the Bolsheviks and Red Army are defeated by the Whites during the Russian Civil War.

All things aside, how does history and ATL 2016 Russia view Lenin, the Russian Russian Revolution, and the Bolsheviks?

you answered you're own question.. The whites win.. They write the history .. By now he would be a foot note of people grappling for power post revolution.. Looked as an idealist whom if not asasinated might have secured communism in Russia.

I would think killing the Romanovs, started both a revolution and a bloody civil war would be more then just a footnote and be some place higher in the textbooks.

second revolution, while killing to romanovs and a civil war Yes, but it depends on sort of government wins out in the long run. He would get mentioned in the war and after math period. But killing him 1918 makes him more a quick flash than much more

Remembered like Liebknecht, Rosa Luxemburg, Eisner and Bela Kun. Or Wolfgang Kapp on the right. Radical extremist incapable of securing a long term government. A right wing White government will play up his atrocities and failure of his economic policy, a more centralist or socialist White government his authoritarianism, disrespect for democracy, dogmatism. A Menshevik or Left SR government his doctrinal errors.
