1986-87 Season
The Celtics were going for back to back titles and wouldn't let anyone get in their way. Len Bias would come off the bench for Larry Bird and Kevin McHale, basically becoming the sixth man. This helped Bird and McHale rest with some nagging injuries, ready for the playoffs. Ever since his best friend's death he trained extremely hard in the preseason and became motivated. Playing for 23 minutes a game, he averaged: 17 ppg, 8 rpg and 4 apg. With that outstanding performance he won Rookie of the Year. They blew past the East, beating Atlanta, Detroit and Milwaukee several times. In the West the Lakers had an otherworldly season as MVP Magic Johnson led the team to 65 wins. Now the world looks to the playoffs...

Would be ironic if Len played for the Celtics and had a career ending injury, knee injury.

Would be good to see Hank Gathers in the NBA after along with Bo Kimble, Loyola Marymount goes to the final 4.

Woah this one should be something to remember, would be Bias to Bird aka the Pass being ITTL Equivalent of the shoot for bias?
Game 4: Milwaukee 137 Boston 138: 3-1 ( Len Bias hit a fadeaway with 0.8 seconds remaining)
or maybe this one

What a playoff, the finals might have broke records at the time ITTL, wonder if this will affect Bird, as we say before he wanted to retires...maybe he goes till 1989?(10 years in the team) maybe he enter as coach early coaching bias and other celtics?

Probably the Milwaukee one. But there will be more to come...
Also maybe he stays until 1990 with rested injuries.

Yes. as a Celtics fan who was 7 in 86. These timelines where he lives are the best his and Reggie's death later set the Celtics back a decade plus.
