Marriage of Louis VI the Fat to Matilda of Normandy, previously, King Louis VI the Fat had refused previous offers to him for a bride until he saw the opportunity to seek alliance with the kingdom of England and the duchy of Normandy, Louis VI the Fat married Matilda of Normandy in order to secure alliance in 1114 thus Matilda becomes the Queen of France and bears a child named Philipe, which Matilda dreamed that a tree grew from her body in her dream like her ancestor, the mother of William of Normandy, after a few years a son named Louis is born as well, later a son named William and a daughter named Anne was born, William Adelin dies in the White ship and the news entered the palace, Matilda was saddened by the news of course but Matilda said life must go on.

Henry II of England dies in 1130 thus Stephen of Blois becomes the king but King Louis VI acted on behalf of his wife and defeated Stephen of Blois, Normandy and England was added in the royal domain of France because of his wife Matilda of Normandy.
