Lee of the Union: A Tale of Things That Never Were

Chill the fuck out. He had a fucking point to it. Also I'd like to point out you're here for criticisms and help, not to rag on other posters.

Wow everyone chill down a bit!!!!!

Yes we are all here for criticism and help, but I think Mike clearly knew his timeline was implausible from the moment he thought it out. The title itself implies this: A Tale of Things that Never Where.

This is a Tale guys, a fantasy story and it is ok if it is as utopian as it can be. Not all timelines need to be imperialistic distopias (as most are).

Keep up the good work Mike, but you also have to be a bit more respectful in your replies.

Mike, you might guess just from my nick what I'm going to ask.

Why would Sitting Bull accept a territorial governship? What's your reasoning behind this?

And why is Custer acting so out of character, passively accepting a ceremonial role instead of looking for an excuse to chase after glory? Wouldn't a more realistic scenario involve Custer somehow provoking Crazy Horse, or even Joseph Sitting Bull, into war?

I always liked the idea, even if I never agreed with the execution.

I thought you were banned by that asshole Turtledove...bloody right wing tinpot dictators;)

a second is built. J.E.B. Stuart, a former U.S. Army General, raised the necessary funds to get a line built from Norfolk, Virginia to Los Angeles, California
There were already Railroads from Norfolk to New Orleans [Souths biggest city]
The Texicans where expanding the Galveston Railroad east from Dallas toward NO's, and west from Fort Worth. OTL the Southern Pacific leased this.

OTL the Southern Pacific was suppose to end in San Diego, when those sneaky rotten scoundrels in LA engages in some Financial Shenanigans, and got it diverted.
[San Diego had already built the Railroad station, and was planning the Development of the area around it.]
