Lech republic instead of poland

Perhaps if the Polan tribe were less powerful and the Lendians more?

Of course this has massive repercussions in the history of the Central Europe-Baltic region...

It is called that in some languages, but yeah - since establishment of Kingdom of Poland in 1025 it would be quite hard. Perhaps over-wanked 15th century Ottomans could establish puppet Lechistan, and name becomes popular in most countries, to differentiate it from old 'Regnum Poloniae'.

It would require POD 1000 years ago, and the modern name would probably be something like Lechland rather.

That, or Lech Walesa remains REALLY popular.
