Charles the Bold met Louis XI and his uncle in the battle of Montlhery, which ended indecisively. Charles held the battlefield because Louis basically left after the indecisive engagement to enter Paris and deal with the Bretons. But let us suppose that the battle of Montlhery ends in a complete disaster for Charles the Bold. Maybe Comte du Maine's forces also do very well, or maybe Breze's troops do even better and wheel round and hit the enemy centre from the rear. Let us say that the battle ends with Charles being captured by his enemies, and forced to leave his daughter, Mary, in the hands of Louis, as a hostage for his good conduct. What is going to happen in this scenario?
