I suspect that the League of Nations would continue to exist for a few more years, chiefly as a means by which governments might reward loyalists with particularly pleasant sinecures. It would, prove entirely unable to prevent war between Japan and the Soviet Union from breaking out. At the same time, the League of Nations would probably take credit for the preservation of peace in Europe, which less starry-eyed observers attributed to the "Beck-Beck" alliance between Poland and Germany.
