LBJ dies in 66

Lyndon Johnson's health was always bad, so what if LBJ had died of a heart attack 1966, instead of 1973? what would Hubert Humphrey do in those mad days of the late 60's?

This would certainly have the conspiracy theorists running on overtime. Just consider just before the 1964 presidential election, you have President Kennedy killed in Dallas. To make matters worse, just as the country is about to recover its bearings and has begun sending troops into Vietnam and passing vital civil rights legislation, President Johnson dies. All of this taking place before the 1966 mid-term elections. No matter what Humphrey does, there is now a sense of paranoia that wasn't present in OTL....

HHH opposed Johnson Vietnam War polictic

NOTE:
Johnson told Humphrey that if he publicly opposed his Administration's Vietnam War policy, he would destroy Humphrey's chances to become President by opposing his nomination at the next Democratic Convention.

HHH as 37th President of the United States.
start peace talk with Nord Vietnam and start US troop retreat and stop bombing of Nord Vietnam.
with a first peace Treatie in 1968 ?

would continue Civil Rights Legislature

And start negotiations with USSR for Strategic Arms Limitation
he was for disarmament of nuclear wapons

with this is very likely Humphrey wins The 1968 Presidential election.
(if Robert Kennedy is assassinated during the election year)

but there one thing who worried me:
that HHH will keeps Robert McNamara as United States Secretary of Defense.

Actually, HHH oppose Johnson's policy on Vietnam War deployment but sadly to say HHH doesn't compete LBJ on Democratic convention in January 1968 nor oppose vocally to LBJ like RFK to do to LBJ.
