This was inspired by me brianstorming over the scenario presented in the plot of the S.M. Stirling book "Conquistador". In the book, a US soldier from 1946 is sent to an alternate universe where Alexander the Great lived until 280 BCE and conquered a much larger empire then OLT which stretches from Iberia to the Ganges River.

My question is that if Alexander the Great lived longer, how much larger could his empire have gotten and what is the largest it could have possibly gotten?

Below is a map showing my idea of such a scenario. This map is based on the 323 BC base map, but it shows the Macedon Empire having conquered Carthage, Rome, Arabia and India. Is this big as the Macedon Empire could have got, or could it have gotten even bigger? For example, could southern India have fallen?
