Lancastrian Victory

What would the result have been if the Lancastrian forces had won at Tewkesbury (ergo the PoW isn't executed). I've heard that Siasbar Tudor was close enough to hear the battle, but because the river came down in flood was unable to get to the Lancastrian side in time.

Obviously, EIV is on the run (if he isn't killed in the battle or after a la Rutland or their father), I foresee Clarence being in disgrace as a traitor on both sides; and unless Anne Neville is pregnant (or will be soon), Marguerite d'Anjou might consider having the marriage scrapped in favor of more brilliant marriage for her beloved son; and Elizabeth Wydeville, unless Countess Rivers can pull some strings, stays in sanctuary at Westminster.

Ah, JASPER, lol, I know idea what Siasbar was going to turn out to be!

Don't forget the Neville heiress was potentially one of the richest women and best matches in England. There is not much more of a better match, except possibly http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anne_de_Mowbray,_8th_Countess_of_Norfolk

Obviously there is an age discrepancy and even if she lives the marriage won't happen properly to the 1480s which is too long to wait.

IDK, Margaret of Scotland was considered/betrothed to Edward of Westminster at one point, although due to pressure from England and Burgundy Mary of Guelders called it off.

Also, MoA didn't like/trust Warwick due to his York connections. So she might pursue a policy of use-and-discard as far as Anne Neville is concerned. Use her to get her father's support to land in England, and once established send to Rome for an annulment and marry EoW where it might be more politically advantageous.

All the more reason to keep the Neville inheritance firmly in hand. Especially since Clarence can be safely disposed of (as you said, nobody will trust him) and with Warwick and his brother safely dead already, what better way to strengthen the crown than to inherit Warwick's wealthy estates? Much better than letting somebody else establish their own powerbase. Besides, several of Warwick's followers still have significant power; no point gratuitously offending them.

Having Prince Edward produce an heir is the most important thing right now; England is in no shape to get involved in further foreign adventures anyway, especially if any of the brothers York managed to survive the battle.
