Butterflies switch the number of seats around so that Labour has in total a number of 365 seats and the Conservatives have a number of 258 seats. Hugh Gaitskell is now Prime Minister.

What will change? Gaitskell was against British entry in the EEC and he was against the Suez War, this could damage Anglo-French relations.

Gaitskell also campaigned against Clause IV of the Labour Constitution. In OTL he failed, would he be succesful if he is Prime minister in ATL? And what about his stance on Ireland?

Not sure about his stance on Ireland.

I don't think there was the will to eliminate Clause IV of the Labour Constitution at this stage. Perhaps it would have been modified like in the Australian Labour Party Constitution which says something like 'democratic socialisation of all the means of production, distribution and exchange' but adds 'to the extent necesary to prevent exploitation.'
