La Follette does better in 1924

what if Robert M. La Follette, Sr. in 1924 presidential election carried more states

if you look at the county by county votes map:

you see he did very well in Minnesota, North Dakota, and Nevada, so what if he's won those maybe some other?

I could see the progressives living a little longer. The problem is they were too limited by geography and too tied to the personality of the Lafollete family in their stronghold state of Wisconsin. A shame really, as they were the driver force behind some of our most basic governmental reforms, and they had a lasting influence on the relatively pristine and efficient governments of Wisconsin and Minnesota.

If somehow the Progressives one those states mentioned above and held on to the 1928 election, when the Republicans would again win in a landslide, perhaps the Democrats could actually collapse and fold into the Progressives?

I was actually thinking about doing a LaFollette wins in '24 Timeline once I finish my Ronnie in '68 timeline. I think getting him to win the Presidency would have been that hard, seeing how much of an lackluster campaigner silent Cal was. If Bob Lafollette had tamped down the fiery Socialistic rhetoric, and focused more on populist reforms, he could have swung several key states his way. However since this a thread about a better electoral situation for "Fighting Bob" and not a LaFollette wins thread lol. Here's the best He could do with changining the true nature of the campaign.
