Kurdish victory in the first Kurdish-Iraqi War

Turkey probably doesn't recognize their independence. Kurdistan turns to the USSR for aid because the US and allies aren't going to piss off Turkey in 1970. Israel historically has gotten along relatively well with Turkey and may not make any moves towards support of any moral kind towards Kurdistan. The nation will be isolated with little in the way of friendships, from a linguistic and ethnic point of view their nearest "relatives" nation is Iran, but that's not a nation that will support them, though a weaker Iraq is not a bad thing for Iran so look to Iran to have some support and influence but with a crack down to make sure Kurds inside their own nation get no ideas of their own. Iraq almost certainly has either Shi'ite control or a civil war, this can cause tensions between Saudi Arabia and Iran as even pre-revolution Iran is going to find they want to stick up for the Shi'ite community and Saudi Arabia as Wahhabist will want to see themselves support the Sunni population and to limit clear rivals in the Persian Gulf. Ultimately this is in the Cold War era when nations of those sizes can be reigned in, or let loose, more or less on the whims of the Super Powers.

This is before the Dayton Accords for Bosnia & Herzegovina showed a federation of different nationalities can work, prior to this accord the "wisdom" of geopolitics was "divide and separate the different people" (See how great it worked for Jewish Palestine/TransJordan 1922, Israel/hypothetical "Arab State" 1948, and India/Pakistan 1948!) so don't expect a compromise or such a solution, it's just not likely in the 1970s and 1980s. Greece may be Kurdistan's best friend, especially after the 1974-1981 crap over Cyprus. Might see Kurdish forces have some border fighting taking advantage of Turkish invasion of Cyprus, we may see Turkey less successful and strike a deal- removal of Turkish forces from Cyprus, Greece agree to no interference in Cyprus and absolutely no annexation ever, and normalization of relations between Kurdistan if Kurdistan cracks down on their "help" to Kurds in Turkey. Kurdish population and the amount of land actually inhabited by significant Kurds is very tiny in Syria, it's possible Syria becomes Kurdish friendly if it means a good block against Turkey or against Jordan and *Iraq. We could see the Sunni minority in *Iraq turn to try another "Arab Federation" with Jordan to limit the Shi'ite influence and Iran and this would definitely cause Syria to become Kurd-friendly.
