Kuomintang-Nazi Pact

In the 1930s the Kuomintang and the Nazi's had some contact with one another, with Nazi Germany being heavily invested in Nationalist China, however by the late 1930s the German's switched from supporting the Chinese to supporting the Japanese. Their reason? Japan was better able to resist the rise of communism.

The Germans switching sides didnt sit too well with many in Germany, they were too heavily invested and stood to lose alot of money over China, so what if rather than betraying the Chinese, the Germans instead supported them in their war with Japan? This may or may not effect WWII.

Assuming World War II starts about on schedule, how would the Chinese-German Alliance effect the war? Would we have a Japanese Alliance with the allies? Perhaps a Three Way Cold War with Japan on one side, the allies on another and the Soviets on the third?

Thoughts? Ideas?

In OTL the Chinese relied heavily on German training and equipment until the Third Reich withdrew its assistance, and when Jiang Jieshi threw his elite forces in the fight in 1937, he wasn't able to train new ones and had to make do with second-rate troops for the rest of the war (though he did still have some decent officers). With an ongoing Sino-German alliance, the Japanese would have an even harder time in China.

It could have an effect on the americans beeing invoved in europe.
The germans beeing allied with china and thus AGAINst Japan, would make then sort of allies to the americans after Pearl Harbour. Surly Hitler would not take that as a reason to declare war on the US.

True, an anti-Japanese Germany would also make it harder for Roosevelt to sell the American public on Lend-Lease; there would be even more of an inclination to only worry about Japan and let Europe solve it's own problems.

I think there's bound to be a confrontation between the German advisors and the remaining warlord-style generals, who won't like any attempt to create a fully centralised army (which, IIRC was the plan at the time when aid was cut.)

Why, yes it is. Thus I present a version with the respective symbols of each country edited out, ready to be replaced by a national symbol of your choosing!

I apologize for slight sloppiness, btw.
