KPD Victory in early Nazi Germany?

Hey Alternatehistory.com, first time posting so dont be too harsh if this sounds totally implausible :D

In January 1934, Ernst Rohm sent Von Blomberg a memorandum asking to replace the army with the SA. In OTL Hitler sided with the army rather than the SA, eventually purging the SA to gain the armies loyalty.

What if Hitler had agreed with the demands of the SA and the national peoples army? With the fear of being replaced, would the old conservative elite have started a civil war to defend their place in Germany? Could the clashing of the Nazis vs the Reactionaries to the point of weakening both sides be the "Capitalist crisis" that the KPD (or at least its masters in Moscow) be waiting for before national revolution? Or was a communist uprising always doomed to fail due to the capitalist powers surrounding it?

Thoughts?

It might have been possible, that being said, many of the Communists' best leaders had been assassinated or forced underground by the Nazis. As well, the fact is that much of the German population supported the Nazis. Thirdly, in Germany Communist militias had been largely crushed after events like the Bavarian Socialist Republic's demise, the KPD wouldn't have had the armed strength to take over. More likely, if the Communists tried to take over, the rightist forces would have made some sort of detente, maybe with Hitler being deposed for someone more moderate. The other option is in the case of an extended civil war between the conservatives and the Nazis, there most likely would have been foreign intervention. In short, you'd need either a different PoD (like in my TL, check out my sig) or some pretty significant ASB.

I don't think it's in Hitler's character to side with the SA. Hitler wanted total control over the party and total loyalty of all party members. Fundamentally, a strong SA was a threat to this, and Ernst Rohm in particular. Hitler also wanted and needed a strong proffesional army for his plans to reoccupy the Rheinland, ensure Anschluss with Austria and right the wrongs of Versailles, which the SA wouldn't be able to give. At this point, everything is working against the SA.
