Has anyone read this? It is not strictly speajking AH but more a time travel paradox story. The diveregence point occurs on the Titanic when a time traveller attempts to avert the disaster but merely delays it with unintended consequences which result in the United States remaining neutral in the First World war and a world in which Germany and Japan are the dominant powers about the crave up what remains of America which itself is divided with a confederacy suceeding in the 1920's.Hitler achieves success in his original ambition of becoming an artist.
There are elements of the Man in the High Castle in the scenario for the 21st century but there is no reference to alternate history fiction of different scenarios. Reailsing that there is no future in the aftermath of a coming atomic war Joseph Kennedy a nephew of JFK and a rogue employee of the Confederate Bearueau of Investigation recruits a team including a descendant of Charles Lightoller in an attempt to restore history to its orginal course. The plot seems a bit laboured in places with agents chasing counter agents and there are some myths such as the Titanics captain being under pressure to win the Blue Riband from the Mauretania.
