Too many questions.

1.Even if he succeeded would he be able to hold on to power, perhaps we'll see a very different civil war, reactionaries vs. reformists. Another possibility would be a situation where generals replace eachother by force.

2. If Kornilov would not concede to the Central Powers he'd probably be replaced. Russia had nothing to fight with anymore, and both soldiers and civilians were starving.

3. Part of the reformist movement against Kornilov??

4. Depend, really, there might still be a civil war and chaos.

5. Would Hitler arise to power without Communism and the red scare? No, nazism wouldn't be strong.
Would some kind of crazy nationalist take over Germany and start a new World War? Very possible.

6. Depend, given a big pension and a villa in the Crimea? Some of his relatives could be chosen as a figurehead, but Nicky's era was over.

I thought I answered these questions.

First: Does Kerensky side with Kornilov, or not? If he doesn't, it would be very hard for Kornilov to take Petrograd. If Kornilov took Petrograd without Kerensky's approval, then you might have a short civil war between Kornilov and Kerensky, with the communists attempting a putsch during the conflict. But maybe they could negotiate a way to work together... Kornilov would be given more sweeping powers over the front, and Kerensky would stay in control of the Provisional Government.

You first need to answer... where and what is Kerensky doing during the Kornilov Coup? After that, I can help you out a lot more.

People seem to have high opinion of Kornilov here.

He'd have to fight the city (doubtful victory there, the Soviets would all be against him); maintain order by force (what force?) and either stay in the war (cannot) or sign a bad peace (new wave of rebellions).

At the very least, even if he survives, he can never restore as much of the Russian Empire as the Soviets managed.

My personal opinion would be that Kornilov would not be in power for long, either he fight a civil war against a United Democratic Front (including Bolsheviks and other Marxists), or he'd be replaced by another general quite quickly. A sucessful Kornilov coup could very well create a tradition of coups.
