Does Kormoran survive? IOTL, Sydney lived long enough after the torpedo hit to inflict fatal damage with her high ROF 6" guns.

HMAS Sydney was hit fatally and drifted away. She wasn't sunk within a short time. If VP Georgios Averoff was hit by torpedoes, she likely would sink much faster. Thus it is possible, that such a reply isn't possible for her.

That is exactly my thought. Kormoran plays the lamb, and comes up under the Averoff's lee, and lets loose her torpedoes. The Averoff, even with guns pointed gets very little time to reply. Two torpedoes would probably result in Averoff turning turtle in less than 5 minutes, most likely significantly shorter.
