A few weeks ago, on the Jay Leno Show, he had a segment of the Battle of the Jaywalk Allstars, where he asks simple questions to random people. But sometimes he has people from various TV shows. This time it was The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
One of them gave two interesting responses.
Q. What war started when North Korea invaded South Korea?
A. Um...World War one?

So that's your challenge, folks. The First World War starts on August 1, 1914, and the cause is North Korea invading South Korea. The POD can actually be before 1900 if you really want.
The same contestant gave another entertaining response:
Q. What US state was named after King George II?
A. Can you give us a hint?
Q. You live there.
A. Um...Atlanta?
I went to Wikipedia and I found this list...
George II of Abkhazia (916–960)
George II of Georgia (1072–1089)
Yuri II of Vladimir or George II (1212–1216, 1218–1237)
George II of Bulgaria (1321-1322)
George II of Kakheti (1511–1513)
George II, Landgrave of Hesse-Darmstadt (1605–1661)
George II of Great Britain (1683–1760)
George Tupou II of Tonga (1874–1918)
George II of Greece (1890–1947)
George II of Imereti (1565-1585)
Bonus points if Georgia was named after any of those other Georges. I don't think Jay specified King George II of Great Britain.
George's full name was George Augustus. But maybe his full name could have been George Atlantis. Then when the state is named, the state gets the feminine form, Atlanta. The capital of the state could be Georgia.
When he ascends the throne he might have taken the name King Atlantis I instead of King George II.
George might have had brothers with middle names such as Hyperborea, Cimmeria, Thule, etc.
