WI: The kingdom of Cyprus never comes into existence. The armies of the Third Crusade somehow never make it there, and it's not conquered by Richard of England. Would Christian refugees still flock there after the fall of Acre in 1291?
It doesn't seem likely. The island was under the rule of a Byzantine noble who would probably not welcome a lot of incoming, especially hostile Catholics.
