Kingdom of Canada Navy name help?

So I am at a loss as to what to name the Canadian Navy and its ships.

I will very likely just name the Navy itself "The Royal Canadian Navy" as to avoid any confusion with the "Royal Navy".

But to the names of the ships. I don't want to use "H.M.S. Example" or H.M.C.S because that is what exists in OTL.

Which leaves me with a few options I have been considering.

"R.C.N.S" Royal Canadian Navy Ship

"H.R.H.S" His/Her Royal Highness' Ship

any other options of the Navy's name or the abbreviation for the ships. Please let me hear them. Or if you think that one of the options I picked are good.

RCNS isn't bad, but what about just RCS? And what does the actual Canada use? Do they use HMS? And I'd like to hear more about how Canada became a kingdom.

Majesty is correct for sovereign kings (and emperors).

If there is actually a King of Canada, who is crowned as such, then H C MS is correct. His Canadian Majesty's Ship.

If the kingdom of Canada is only suzerain (like 18C Kingdom of Ireland) and the King is King of SomewhereElse, with the Canadian Navy being a squadron of a bigger namy, then H M C S His Majesty's Canadian ship

I guess one of the questions is what is the status of this Kingdom of Canada in relation to the British crown in this particular ATL. Unless a separate Royal Canadian Navy was formed there would be no HMCS, just warships of the Royal Navy.

If this is an independent kingdom apart from the British Empire, then the prefix would only be HMS - since the Canadians know which ships are theirs.

Why don't you just use HMCS like in real life? Even if independent from the British Empire it wouldn't make sense to use HMS because the Royal Navy would be much larger in profile and it would cause constant confusion, especially if the Canadian and British navies have two ships with the same names in service at the same time.

I guess , that if the King of Canada were fully independent, but King only of Canada, then HMCS would imply that he (the King) had Canadian ships, and some other ships also. Like HMAS (he has Australian ships) , and HMNZS (he has New Zealand ships).

But, (the temptation is irresistible :D) , will you not have to have the ship HCMS on one side, and SMCV (or V R ? ) on the other, to satisfy the Quebecois? (no offence chaps, it's just the weird British sense of humour) :p

I don't know why you just posted ten of these threads but don't! Post one thread in the right forum and wait for it to get replies.

yeah just wanted to say sorry for that. My internet was messing up yesterday and when ever I clicked the "post new thread" button nothing would happen and the page would crash after some time waiting. And nothing else on the site was loading. So I thought i was discontected.

Sorry again everyone.
