Would it continue to modernise? Was revolution inevitable? Would it be a rare island of stability in the region?

Revolution was pretty surprising event for even Russians. So probably Revolution of 1973 would be pretty easy to avoid.

If there not be revolution, Afghanistan would be much stabler or somehow democratic but king has still much power.
