King Louis XII abandons claims to Naples

In 1503 King Louis XII of France abandoned claims to Naples following the breakup of his alliance with King Ferdinand of Aragon.
Suppose Louis XII does not abandon claims to Naples. What happens then?

The legal rationale for Louis' claim to the Kingdom of Naples was weaker than his claim to Milan.
His claim stemmed only from his position as the successor to Charles VII of France.

Louis XII hoped to separate Castile and Aragon. He surrendered the claim to Germaine of Foix, conditional on a male child to her and Ferdinand. Given that no male heir was produced, I don't think it would have mattered if he hadn't surrendered the claim. Spain emerged victorious in Italy anyhow.
