King Albert of Great Britain

What if after the death of Queen Victoria Prince Albert Edward decided to honour his mother's wish and to rule as King Albert Edward (OTL: King Edward VII)? After his death his son could also take the name Albert and begin with a naming system like in Sweden. So he would be King Albert II George.

The lists of OTL monarchs would look like this now:
Queen Victoria
King Albert I Edward
King Albert II George
King Albert III Edward
King Albert IV George
Queen (Victoria II ?) Elisabeth (II)
King Albert V Charles
King Albert VI William
....

What do you guys think? Realistic or not? (there would be other monarchs in TTL ofcourse)

I bit doubt that so many kings has as first name Albert. Possible but not plausible. That kind of naming system hasn't been usually on Engilish monarchy.

I agree. If Bertie wanted to use his father's name as his regnal name then he would be Albert I and so forth.

Prince Charles first born would always be William, do the math who do you think will be king in 2066 when Britain celebrates a thousand years since the Battle of Hastings?

Isn't large part of real estate in England actually leased by William the Conqueror to his subjects for 999 years? What will happen when the lease term will pass?

I still hope for the greatest irony ever with Prince Harry taking the throne for the anniversary of Hastings.
