Kiel Canal involved in major military campaign in WW1/WW2

The Royal Navy would have fewer obsolete ships to scrap after the war, I guess. Too much danger of mines, subs, torpedo boats, shore guns, etc.
 
Well in a WW2 later war scenario, might some Tall Boy Bombs do anything to the locks to stop the use of the Canal? Or is that just to ASB?
