I'm currently running another collaborative timeline on the site that concerns a Bush Sr. presidency in the 1980s. I thought it would be interesting to rewind 20 years even further and cover an ATL 1960s where JFK survives the day in Dallas.
November 22nd, 1963: President Kennedy arrives in Dallas. The weather is damp, rainy and unpleasant, so Kennedy's motorcade has a bubble dome put onto it to protect him from the rain. At approximately 12:53 CST, Kennedy is shot in the shoulder by an unknown assailant. Immediately, Kennedy is rushed to Parkland Hospital, where he goes into surgery. Much to the relief of everyone in America, Kennedy survives the wound and will be discharged from the hospital in 5 days.
