Roman Britain was known for always proclaiming their own usurpers. From Albinus, to Constantine, to Constantine III (among others), Britain was extremely uppity. So how can we prevent Roman Britain from being a hotbed for usurpers? The soldiers obviously felt neglected and glanced over by the state, being on an island on the edge of the empire and all. So what can be done to make them less willing, or less able, to proclaim a usurper every time they got uppity?
