Kathryn Howard Lives

I'm not really big on SIs normally but I read 'Tis But a Scratch and really liked it. It inspired me to do something like one of my own, but I think I'd rather do someone who would have been close to her rather than Kathryn herself.

The two options I'm considering are Lady Mary Howard, Duchess of Richmond (b. 1519), Kathryn's cousin, and Isabel Leigh (ca. 1496), her maternal half-sister. Both were among her ladies when she was Queen but neither are ideal. I was hoping for someone also part of the Dowager Duchess of Norfolk's household, which afaik neither Mary nor Isabel was. I'm open to suggestions.

I would also like to know if anyone would interested in this? I mean, I'm definitely going to keep thinking about it but probably wouldn't post anything on here if there's no interest.

"Young and Fair and Damned" by Gareth Russell (Thomas is a deceased Welsh actor from a sci-fic show in the late 1970s!) "Six Wives" (might be longer title) by David Starkey are two books to start with if you want to research her. Several of her 'old partners in crime' (including the man I believe was legally her husband - Frances Dereham) asked for and received positions in C.Howard's household. One former resident of the maidens' chamber at Lambeth was the primary instigator of the investigations against Catherine and the others. (Hey, but what's an ugly, fun-hating Lutheran to do? Maybe she didn't get invited to play - by that I mean Mary Lascelles, the finger pointer who started the inquiry by telling her brother about the goings-on at Lambeth.)
