Kapp Putsch succeeds

What would it take to have a Kapp Putsch that is successful.
Some of the things that I have came up with

1 The communist uprising are put down, but with less brutality, as the freikorps were the primary supporters of the Putsch. This may result in the call to strike being less recognized, and the Pustchist not being cut-off in Berlin which is why it failed OTL.

2 The Reichwher supports the Putsch.

2.5 Possibly due to a more successful yet still failed Spartcist uprising, the Regular Army sees the Freikorps as a force for stability. This should'nt be to hard as from what i've read the regular Army looked upon the Ebert Government with dismay.

3 The general strike, and demonstrations never happen. As the Weimer Republic could not count on the Army to defend it against Internal problems ie. the Communist Uprisings, and the Army declared its self netural in the Putsch. If a General Strike never materializes the Government falls.

I think eventually there would be a reaction from the Entente. They would probably rush into Ruhr and occupied it and in due time reestablish the government, while Kapp and Luetwitz would end up hanging. This might make Nazis coming to power easier and earlier as Entente intervention would probably saw large amount of discontent in Germany.

However, putsch succeeding is really hard to imagine. Virtually the entire country was against it.

Are the British and French governments (and more importantly, their respective populations) going to re-start the war, over the German form of government? Is it likely at this point that the USA will assist, who did not accept the Versailles treaty, did not consider themselves "allies" but "associated power" and are slipping back into their form of "splendid isolation? "There's been a coup in Germany, and the Hohenzollerns have been restored." -- That said, it seems no one in Germany on the right or left, monarchist or republican supported the coup attempt. It seems more ad hoc. Perhaps if it had been better planned in advance, and with more support within the Army. Maybe changed some of the time frames for communist agitation, and perhaps support from the SPD as against communist uprisings.

The French occupied the Ruhr because a socialist-backed government was playing games with reparations.

So, yes, they will intervene here.

I get that everyone thinks the dudes who won WW1 despite having their industrial heartland occupied are a bunch of cowards as opposed to the virile Germans who revolted because they went hungry, but really.

There wouldn't be a WW2, because President Adenauer of the Rhenish Republic would be BFF with Paris.

And the second Paris stops looking (or is forced to do so by any kind of internal problems) he ends up as dead as a dodo.

Why would internal problems force Paris to give up the Rhine border?

For that matter, what's the Kapp Putsch's base of support? If it doesn't pay reparations, the French stay in the Ruhr while Germany implodes, as they almost did OTL. Except now they're opposed by a German government who is renowned for shooting socialists and communists.

So, unlike the Nazis, who managed to save the economy, the Putch have no internal legitimacy, are opposed by a much relatively stronger France, and are pisspoor at making Germany great.

And why exactly would that stop WW2? That will help the Germans, calling for irredentist claims to the Rhine.

Why do they have irredentist claims? Why does everyone think that the dudes machine gunning strikers will be recognized as the legitimate German government?

People seem to forget that the 1920s from 1925 to 1930 or so were sort of an Indian summer in Europe, when people thought Germany had reformed and wouldn't go around invading its neighbors. That isn't so here, and things would change accordingly.

I dont claim to think as such and please dont try to pidgeon hole me into the category. The OP states the Kapp Putsch succeeds. From that concept, however ridiculous it is, the Putsch would have the loyalty of the military as well as a large group of Freikrops to draw from.
