Kaiserreich: Legacy of the Weltkrieg

I'm glad that they're holding on to the spirit of KR Russia as a place that can wind up many different ideologies, even with the rework.

Don-Kuban and Transamur being foreign backed uprisings rather than previously existing states actually makes a lot more sense to me.

An interesting part of the Russian rework is that there's some kind of Second Russo-Japanese war going on in 1927, with the Russians trying to take back control of the Manchurian railways and Japan intervening resulting in Russia getting its ass kicked even harder than the first time.

I guess that's going to be the reason for northern Sakhalin to have remained in Japanese hands indefinitely and for the Japanese to be in the position to fund an uprising in Transamur during the course of the game, which apparently is going to be something Russia will have to worry about even if Japan doesn't support the uprising. It seems that in the rework Russia got bigger borders but is way more unstable, and places like Central Asia, Don-Kuban and Transamur are prone to have insurrectionist movements with or without foreign support.

So.... Kerensky is living in New York, a SPA stronghold.

Once the Second American Civil War breaks out, I wonder if he will get arrested, put on trial in a 'People's Court', and executed by some of the CSA Red Guard militia units for this 'crimes' of having fought against the Bolsheviks during the October Revolution.

The sad part is that even if he manages to escape no anti-Syndie nation will want him in because they'll likely believe the man is literally cursed, with Socialist revolutions exploding in every country he settles in, and all the Syndie nations probably don't like him very much either for different reasons.

In the KRTL they'll make a very good novel turned into movie blockbuster about it, they'll call it "The Kerensky Curse".

This could be a hilarious hidden event chain, with Kerensky escaping from New York on board a ship of a neutral country in the 30-days countdown before the fighting of the Second American Civil War starts, heading off to parts unknown.... Only for him to show up again in the event for if Venezuela, Cuba, or Brazil if any one them also fall to syndicalism/elect a syndicalist government into power, with him wondering at that point if he is just a walking revolution magnet everywhere he goes.

Eventually the Germans get a hold of him and send him to any country they want to destabilize/start a civil war in as their ultimate weapon. Wait a minute- Imperial Germany sending a Russian socialist to destabilize and cause trouble for their enemies - haven't I heard this one before?

What do you guys think the theme music should be for the russia update?
(I'm kinda partial to "Ai Ai Kerensky", but that might not be russian enough)

Just a quick question on those that are more experienced on HOI4 KR compared to myself:

Any suggestions on how to actually play as any of the Chinese factions? My problem is that due to the lack of industries, I struggle to keep my armies supplied, making even wining against a fellow Chinese warlord a real slog.

Not to mention the that moment the Japanese showed up, United Provinces of China faction or not, in my experience, you just end up getting utterly stomped by the rising sun before you had a chance for a proper build up that will allow you to stand against them and their endless costal invasions while the Fengtian clique press against you on land.

So... any advice on how to actually win as a Chinese unifier? Thanks.

Get your military maluses removed ASAP. Lend-leases of surplus gear, sending out attaches to big warring factions, these will help.

Alternatively one strategy I heard that doesn't sound too good but I can sort of almost buy is to draw the IJA into an area with shit infrastructure than try to surround them and just kill them all in a pocket. Then march unopposed to the coasts. That seems hard to pull off though.
