Kaiserreich: Legacy of the Weltkrieg

I've long advocated for the PSA being the "Pacific Defense Command of the Several Free and Loyal Democratic States of the United States of America" and only becoming the PSA if an authoritarian regime runs the former USA (so if MacArthur gives up power and the new government purges military influence from the government through a revised focus tree, or Huey sets up actually fair elections through another alternate focus tree, or the CSA goes democratic, they re-join without a fight).
In your scenario, what would happen if the Feds stay democratic? Would they control PDCSFLDSUSA territory, or the PDCSFLDSUSA would still exist for gameplay purposes and be annexed by the feds as soon as they win, or something else?

The former. As with current KR, the Pacific states only secede if MacArthur coups.

The Pacific states should not be an independent nation unless they are the underdog in a truce with an authoritarian successor state to the USA. They secede from Mac Daddy's Union in protest of his obviously illegitimate junta.

It look like Russia is nerfed in this patch. It no longer has the recrutable population bonus in the republic path and only 1% in the nat pop path.
Same for Qing were they removed all recruitable pop from the imperial restortion focus tree.

The Russia game I played it felt like I could outfit an army rather than a massive mob with guns that I constantly redeployed across the map. But yeah the pp problems I was having wouldn't let me core my conquests which led to manpower issues.

Well, at first it seemed like normal, in fact I was surprised how they fought for the rights of the natives, so I went to google and searched for the guy and he turned out to be a racist anti semite and had sympaties with the japanese empire.

Unless he is a different guy on KR (I didn't found a profile of him on the KR wiki, this might be the most cursed australasian path.

Something I want to add is that australasia is basically australia, I am in 1938 and didn't saw any event mentioning New Zealand until now...

“Between the world wars, his Fellowship of Australian Writers released a document that advocated disconnection with the United States and stated, "US comics promoted demonology, witchcraft and voodooism, with superman part of a raving mad view of the world." And of American musicals and minstrel shows, "the American negro, with his jungle is not welcome here."

He was a member of the Australia First Movement whose magazine The Publicist he helped found in 1936 and edited from 1941–1942. He was noted for his anti-semitic views in this period.[1] At this time, Stephensen and his colleague J. B. Miles financed the first Aboriginal publication, The Abo Call, which was written and edited by Aboriginal activist Jack Patten.

Stephensen was a prolific author. He published over 30 books, as well as translations of works by Vladimir Lenin and Friedrich Nietzsche. He also produced nearly 70 books ghostwritten for Frank Clune.

He was interned without trial from 1942 to 1945 for pro-Japanese and Axis sympathies.”

Now, Wikipedia said that he was anti semite "during a phase", and the AFM end the white australia policy.

If he is not semite during his government and is favorable to ending the white australia policy, well, he can be considered good to a certain point.

Ending the White Australia policy was less to do with wanting racial equality and more to do with wanting Australia to end it's association with the British Empire and join the Axis alongside Germany and Japan (the Japanese being people the policy was largely aimed against). He envisioned a fascist Australia standing alongside other fascist states. Stephenson was man embittered by his own literary and commercial failures in business and writing, increasingly disenchanted as the war wore on.

By the mid to late 30's he had become he was an anti-Imperialist, but only in the sense that he saw "British democracy" as weak and ineffectual and was thought Australia should embrace fascism. He advocated for authoritarian rule in his publications by 1940 he thought Britain's defeat was imminent and looked forward to the social chaos that such a thing would bring to Australia. He maintained virulently anti-semetic, anti-socialist, anti-women views in his correspondence and papers,

He also openly admired Hitler and Mussolini's strongman images, wanting to build a government that would imitate or "beat Germany at it's own game" in Australia. The AFM was thoroughly anti-semetic and has lists of people they wanted liquidated (intellectuals, leftist or democratic politicians, Jewish leaders etc). Once Japan began bombing Australia the AFM became a collaborationist movement before being dissolved, Stephenson himself showed great admiration for a regime the world knew was committing atrocity after atrocity in China. He was a cynical and deluded individual that saw no purpose in democracy, admired blood thirsty regimes and sought to imitate such governments in his homeland.

I'm not anything we would recognize as "good" can be found in his personality. Essentially he was a raging anti-semite that didn't like the British Empire (fair enough) but he thought Nazism and Fascism was a better replacement, sooo yeah.... Mixed bag of crazy there.

All right, time to stamp "Monster" on his forehead.

Can you expand and talk about the Center Party Natpops too?

I started a new game as Canada to see what the new macanics looked like.
The first thing that I notice is that it has been heavily debuffed-you don't have enough Civilan factories to buy the raw materails needed and I ran out of fuel doing Naval training. The New Mechanics about the King and the Exiles did not work out to be that scary - but then again I tended to take the least "agressive" path I could - no sign of how to push Eddie off for George VI. I like the new IDEC mechanics though - very clever and interesting. Would be nice if there was some way that a more industrialised nation would provide more points. ACW started - I supported the PSA and have managed to join - now it is a very hard slog to take out hte AUS and CSA, while the USA went quite quickly.
I might post some screen shots if there is interest.

Replacing Edward VIII with George VI isn't really something you "do", it's more something that just happens.

Once the American civil war happens, you may get a random event where Edward VIII starts dating an American actress. If that's happened, the abdication chain will eventually play out - you just need to wait. If you receive an event where Edward VIII is engaged to a Greek princess, the abdication will never occur and you are out of luck.

Beyond that, simply make sure that Edward's popularity is low and the influence of the British Exiles is kept at moderate or lower. You can also maximize your chances by not having Edward tour during the ACW, as touring has its own random events.

Kinda weird they kept the path choice on the success of the Maximist takeover... when the only option left is for it to succeed. Maybe there's some plan to put in a non-Entente anti-Maximist revolution at some point of more significant UoB rework?

There was the Blair coup that puts Blair or Atlee in charge...

Qing: You have two cows. They never seem to listen to what you say, instead following the orders of the Chicken Clique. The Chicken Clique doesn't let you out of your farmhouse. You decide to meet with one of the neighboring farms to take back your cows.

Some things the devs should change in India-
Minoo Masani’s marlib beliefs were only after Stalin, earlier he was a socialist
MN Roy and Dange were not anarchists
I’d like to see Islamic and Hindu socialism play a role
Also why is BR Ambedkar in Bhutan?
