    Repeat with me:

    VALKISM
    IS
    NOT
    NEO
    PAGANISM

I think the Showa Restoration crowd already is Valkist, last I recall. May be wrong.

Possibly new mechanics allowing the US more interference with say China and Japan? That could be fun. Keeping the doors of trade open, etc. Same with influencing Central and South America. The US should be a lot more focused on 1) maintaining it's influence in Central America and East Asia 2) Possible regional conflicts/ war with Britain and Japan (probably with new mechanics to make that interesting as well. A congress system like TNO could also go a long way towards fleshing out an internally structured United States.

I think fighting Britain should be more of a thing in this one definitely. The fact that they and Japan can antagonize Britain is certainly a step in the right direction. Not familiar with TNO?

EDIT: Oooooooohhhh I never heard of the TNO mod. I thought the 1000 week Reich was the only Nazi victory mod in the pipelines interesting...

"Hey, HIMDogson, what are you playing?"

    "Oh, it's called 'Fuhrerreich', and-"

This mod's name has kind of caused some problems.

Oh definitely. Especially because it's considered a big deal when TR walked out of the peace talks and effectively cut ties with the British and French governments after the war. The relationship should be of distrustful rivals. The United States should very much be a nation asserting it's place on the world stage.

Keep an eye on it. It looks like a hell of a lot of fun.

I agree, and I think it makes sense for the KR TL to think that the Second American Civil War would still occur. Seeing libertarian communists replace the CSA would be pretty interesting anyway.

I've always wanted to see a total conversion mod based on a Confederate victory ala TL 191 or Heart of Dixie. Yes not super realistic (plausibility in HOI be dammed!) but it would certainly set the stage for more conflict in the America's.

I think that the 2ACW, if any, in FR should not be the 3-5 way slugfest of KR, and it should much more easily avoided. Would like to see Huey saving America, to be honest.

Can confirm, just went through a few years of a Bukharin playthrough myself after crashing during a Tukhachevsky run. Aside from grammar issues making it literally unplayable it's probably my favorite part of the mod, hands down. I salute the Wrench and Scythe. Props to the Fuhrerreich devs for some stuff going on in China before KR's 0.9 release, too.

Also, a USSR flavor event for a movie sounds suspiciously like it's Soviet Anime, complete with giant robots and a cult following among numerous people in the West. I flashed a huge grin... and proceeded to realize that I should probably stop for the evening and get some sleep.

"Interesting" would be an understatement. That'd be "fantasy fulfillment" depending on how bloody the replacement process is, with a metric ton less "this is awesome" the more people that have to die for it to become reality.

That'd actually be quite a fun change of pace, in my view. I might finally have a good, non-counterrevolutionary reason to yell out "Every Man a King" and mean it if Huey Long can pull it off in a future update.

And it would make me feel less bad for playing as Huey since he isn't the American Putin like in KR.

Disclaimer: I don't actually think that precious resources should be spent on adding this into the mod yet, this is all speculative and for good fun, and flavor.

Let's continue to Italicize North America with the Great White North! This is meant to be a grab bag of ideas, including my favorite ones I've seen from elsewhere. So second warning: many links to follow.

    * First off we need the central conflict that leads to the splintering. May I suggest an Edward vs. Albert abdication crisis? A civil war between kings is befitting both the royalist nature of Canada and makes it resemble an existing civil war- Spain's, with moderate monarch vs. charismatic archconservative monarch. Historically the Canadian cabinet wanted George V to appoint Prince Albert as Governor General of Canada so it sounds like they were interested in him or his prestige, so there's that.

    * Also there could be Briton vs. Canadian identity issues but I'll leave it to others to hash that out.

    * Québec. This could comprise multiple factions, probably best represented as branches on a focus tree instead of a bunch of mini-states. Here's a cool wiki box example with Maurice Duplessis' Union Nationale, socialists of the PCQ-PCC, radicals of the Bloc populaire, and émigrés from National France. Also this should be a flag option, it looks badass.

    * Also there were like dozens of obscure Quebecois fascist groups, though most of them were likely no more than a newsletter w/ an angry fan club, and wouldn't exist in the conditions of KRTL anyway.

    * Adrien Arcand, however, is notorious enough to deserve some mention, as a far right Quebecois natpop who is oddly *very* pro-British and thus would lead United Empire types from within French Canada against his fellow brethren.

    * The prairie provinces, particularly Saskatchewan, are run by the agrarian green army of the Cooperative Commonwealth Federation:

At most left, they'd be Norman Thomas Christian Socialists, but most likely they'd be on good terms with an Olson administration. Also, fun to consider the irony of a bemused intact U.S. dealing with a Canada that's fallen and can't get up.

    * Alberta becomes the world's first Social Credit government, and in this hypothetical civil war, a national one. The party is very popular and engages in its Distributist (vaguely nat-) populist policies. The focus tree would be revolving around its original engineer-designed economic theories, but with an option to embrace Bible Bill and evangelical conservatism with far right tendencies. For more info about SocCred, see this helpful thread.

    * True to my flair, Canadian Technocracy should be represented. It was historically a thing. The article mentions that local branches of the movement were set up "throughout British Columbia, as well as in Edmonton, Calgary, Regina, Winnipeg, Hamilton, and Toronto". They later got banned in Canada during WWII for accusations of light treason. I'm going to suggest BC, since it's furthest from the Ottawa and closest to Los Angeles (which had many Technocracy aficionados), could be the Technate of Columbia. And since they're on good terms with fellow economic wackos of Social Credit, they'd be allied to Alberta, and/or the Pacific States.

    * I'm just not familiar with the history of radical leftists in Canada, but Syndicalists should definitely be represented in all of this somehow. My only oddball suggestion is to give an option to rename their new nationwide commune Iron Heart, as a reference to the most kickass nickname for Ontario in all of fiction, and the series of games that birthed the KR mod to begin with.

    * Newfoundland should obviously be made into a Dominion again, to sit out the civil war in minor regional calmness, Madras-style. Digression: if Australia + NZ = Australasia, shouldn't Canada + NF have been renamed to Canadaland or Canabrador or similar?

    * First Nations, the Métis, the Maritimes - no idea if any of them had the will or the arms to go their own way, but the more the merrier. Anyone know?

    * If MacArthur (or say, JPK) isn't busy, he invades under War Plan Red in an ironic twist to Defence Scheme No. 2.

Finally, here's a previous thread that suggested this idea. I agree with the comments that realism-wise it would be nearly impossible to balkanize Canada due to its low population. But flavor and fun-wise if there can be a ton of post-Brazilian minor states- why not? This is a thought experiment, anyway.

Since we're talking about Fuhrereich, can someone please explain Valkinism to me? I get that it's supposed to be a stand in for National Socialism, but what makes it different from OTL National Socialism?

It seems to be basically pop-culture Nazi elements with the serial numbers filed off. Closest comparison is probably the AFC/Manifest Destiny cult from What Madness Is This?, a totalitarian race-cult that's socially "liberal" in some ways so long as the people they give a few liberties to buy into the race-cult.

Is it supposed to be like how Himmler supposedly tried to turn the SS into a pagan cult?

Valkism is different in that it is socially liberal rather than socially conservative, for example, they are in favor of the rights of women.

They also use neo-pagan symbolism, but are not actually neo-pagans themselves.

TBH Valkism not being a subideology of National Populism is one of Fuhrerreich's weaknesses in my eyes.

Speaking of which, does that symbol on their flag have a particular name? What is it supposed to represent?

A Brief update on the Situation in my National France Game: I'm Building lots of Dockyards and Military Factories, Interwar Fighter Aircraft [although I've no Idea how to use them!] and Interwar Tanks from my Production Lines. I've got lots of Divisions in Training but I'm told I've got low Manpower so I'm going to need to sort that out soon. Anybody got any Strategy Suggestions for me?

For Conquest I am Targeting Morocco, Liberia and Possibly Tripolitania in the near Future. My Plan is to Intervene in the Spanish Civil War so that I can Invade the French Commune from an overland Route. I have not Yet Restored the Suspended Constitution or the Bonapartes or the Bourbons. In Addition there's been a Revolution in Siam, the Netherlands, the Ottoman Empire [it Failed] and Indochina.
