Personally I hope that you can restore the Bourbon throne as Spain without relying on the Carlists in the rework; fulfilling the dream of Louis XIV always seemed to me to be one of the most ridiculously, hilariously monarchist things you could do in the mod and I love it for the camp.

    Kinda too obvious though.

They might do the cliche and easy thing and make it THE SOUTH SHALL RISE AGAIN.

Awesome. I hope they make the Spanish civil war a little more flavorful! :)

And give the three factions their own unique focus trees.

I would like to see focuses for te Caucasus countries. One tree would be unifying them under one state or Alliance. Another would be merging with Russia. The last would focus on building a military and industry.

Does anyone else think the USA and AUS should get unique military trees like the CSA? It frustrates me how bland they are.

Maybe but I don't remember that really being a central theme of the AUS. They don't actually want to be "the South". They want to be America.

Exactly. I wasn't advocating for it. But so many people shoehorn them as "Neo-Confederates" and such, so I very well can imagine something like that happening even if it is thematically correct.

I can possibly imagine that being a chant used by Pelley and his followers.

Pelley was born in Massachusetts. He's no Southern Neo-Confederate either.

Then perhaps this chant would only be used by his followers? Considering how horribly racist Pelley is, I imagine that quite a few of his followers must be Neo-Confederates.

Doubtful. Pelley's goal is not to rebirth the Confederate States of America. Pelley's goal is to rule over a pure Christian Commonwealth of America. Consider the terminology. Commonwealth. Not Confederacy. Not Federation. But Commonwealth. I believe this suggests a unitary government which is the complete opposite of a confederacy. No. Pelley leads a faction of occult Christian Zealots, not Neo-Confederate insurgents.

You're making the mistake that all white supremacists would be friendly with each other, which is as erroneous as assuming that all communists would get along. Pelley is a white supremacist, but his preference for unitary government and his Yankee origins make him toxic to neo-Confederates.

Also, it's great that KR strays away from easy tropes like a reborn Confederacy, a reborn Texan Republic, Deseret, etc.

I've seen different AUS rework proposals, none of which I'm 100% onboard with, but I think ultimately the AUS should be more of a South + parts of the Midwest faction, it shouldn't be thought of exclusively southern. I'm glad that currently Texas is solid Federalist to prevent the AUS from being a new Confederacy.

I haven't been playing much lately, but I think it's not. It's either split or goes with the AUS, AFAIK.

It's generally split between MacDaddy and Huey. Unless you play as Huey in which case the ass-backwards way the states are apportioned out now screws you over.

Oh, and the Midwest would be extremely unlikely to go to Huey when they could have Reed. The Midwest only started to track more even in vote totals once the Democrats abandoned the New Deal and evangelicals began to spread into the region and became more prominent OTL. TTL, the region will be staunchly Socialist.

I would partly argue against; from the events it appears Farmer-Labor and the Progressives have some hold in the Midwest. If the Coalition does not form or collapses, the Midwest drifts further into the Socialist camp (partly because Farmer-Labor drifts towards the Socialist camp), but if the Coalition holds, that does not happen (according to the events' description; obviously the anti-player apportionment makes things different if the USA under Olson is player-run). Of course, if the Midwest goes Olson (native son for Minnesota and that) they still don't go Huey.

The anti-player apportionment is literally the WORST part of USA rework version 2. It is fucking annoying and I hate its guts.
