I feel like MacArthur should turn America into a Statship Trooper or Roman Republic type of government especially after winning the civil war. That seems like the society he would build. If he lives America goes the Starship Trooper route if he gets assassinated America goes the way of the Roman Republic. He seems like he would enforce a meritocracy with some democratic elements. Things like religious freedom, freedom of speech, racial equality, and social or economic mobility are respected but if you step out of line they punish you extremely. Your free to speak your mind but if you get violent in anyway they have no problem shooting you in the street. Also if you words bring suspicion of possible civil disobedience they will allow you to speak but secretly being spying on you looking for any illegal activity relating to possible partisan or treason like activities. Things like corporal punishment, flogging, and forced labor being common punishments. MacArthur would probably try to set this up in a constitutional and balanced system to try to prevent abuse of it or seizure of complete dictatorial power by one person. The government is also probably much more centralized.

That makes sense because the end of democracy seems to be a very common theme in play throughs

MacArthur seems like he would be one of the more tolerant and benevolent leaders. But after the war I do see him bringing back elections with the franchise being restricted to military people and people within the public sector. Or just bringing back normal elections but making military/public service mandatory for all citizens and people who run for office must first be proved by a bureaucratic or military council. MacArthur and his successors will probably bring back elections after the war but it will be altered or limited.

The syndies and socialist should have a option to become a democratic socialist state. This should be the canon option for them. American socialist still believe in democracy. Basically you have them try to implement elections and democratic elements into the economy. Since the economy is state run you can have workers voting on who runs the factories or vote on how it should be run. Some Marxist did believe democracy would eventually lead to socialism and be apart of it. The civil war should be started by syndies who felt the election was invalid and rigged against them which they claimed to have won or been refused a fair spot in it so they rebel. Huey Long then follows suit. If the war proves to be a stalemate or other nations get involved after the US Capitulate a peace deal between the warring factions should be a option. AUS gets the south, New England independent(minus New York. New York should be part of the syndies), the Syndies get the north, and the Pacific States are independent. The treaty can vary depending on how the war went and who got involved. AUS and CSA borders being the Ohio River and the Mason Dixon line. Pacific States can get all of the Rockies in it or Mexico could possibly get parts of New Mexico and Arizona. I also think Deseret seceding is a interesting possibility. Hawaii should either go to Japan or the British Empire. Alaska goes to the British. This option should only be available once the US is completely gone and out of the civil war

Also why isn’t Germany winning the WW2 not the canon route? That kind of annoyed me. Shouldn’t it be Germany starts out losing but comes back and win it like the allies in otl in Kaiserreich lore?

Isn’t those YouTube videos they post from the Kaiserreich makers show the canon route?

I think they should change the events leading to McArthurs coup and the start of the Civil War. In the moment its like that: Reed/Long can´t pass laws, because of filibuster, trying Executive Orders, get stopped by the Supreme Court, try Courtpacking and the... COUP. My problem with it is, that filibuster and courtpacking implie, that Reed/Long have actually a majority in both chambers of congress and that I think is because of the fracturing of the political landscape imposssible. The SPA may have a slight chance to win the House, the AFP not even that. Both have no chance to get an own majority in the Senat. So the events should following: The President (Reed/Long) has no majority in Congress, tries executive orders, the Supreme Court stop this, the goverment is in deadlock and then....the Chief Justice get murdered. Many blame the presiident, other claim a false flag operation. In any case McArthur use the death of the chief Justice to justify his coup, the PSA use it to justify the forming of a provisional goverment, the Civil war starts. A couple of month after the end of the civil war there is an event, wgich says, that an independent investigation proofed, that neither the President nor another political grooup was involved in the death of the Chief Justice. IIt was simply a crazy lone gunman. the event ends mit the question:"Was the Civil war fought for no reason?"

In India, the left-leaning parties in the Dominion (Jinnah's Home Rule Party and the Swaraj Party) should both have the option to declare India (or at least the areas they control) a Republic. In fact, a precondition for the Lucknow Conference in this suggestion should be either one of those two parties are in power AND have proclaimed a Republic of India.

There is no canon after December 31st, 1935.
Well they are using executive orders to do that. That said, I agree with what you're saying. MacArthur's coup really doesn't make any sense at all the way they've presented. MacArthur is a staunch Republican in both senses of the word. He does have respect for the democratic process, and the Reed/Long Presidency's up till that point are simply failing presidency's. I think The Civil War should start when Long/Reed's attempt to pack the courts get cut off by the Senate and the establishment party begin tossing around the word "impeachment" (Targeting Long for his Corruption and Reed for Federal Overreach on some issue). That scares them with them attempting to declare a state of emergency and THEN Coup. I'll write a bit more in depth about the ACW tomorrow.

Instead of Transamur existing, imagine Russia being a Military Junta led by Kornilov and Kolchak. Thus instead of Kerensky dying, it's Kolchak.

    In no particular order:

Italy being a cp member (Alberto Pollio lives, and last minute negotiations drag her in),this being the proximate cause of German victory.

Poland being habsburg from the start and including galicia since that was a clear waraim for the dual monarchy and the chances of galicia not jumping ship are small.

The Ottomans taking land from Russia, specifically Azerbaijan.

The US having a sphere of influence in East Asia.

China being a unified republic allied to the us and at odds with Japan (this being a surprising but plausible development springing from my reading of The Deluge and the probable reaction of a neutral US to the global power vacuum which results from the collapse of the British empire)

More generally Kaiserreich is an unrealistic germanwank that ignores the devastating impact 3 years of industrial war would have on Germany and fails to give the other powers their due. It also repeats a lot of alt history cliches (divided Italy, balkanized China, second American civil war, communist France, united central America, ust to name a couple) which I find tiresome.

It's a bit like Tolkien. These things are cliche in AH because, way back in the late 2000s, Kaiserreich made them cliche. I would indeed argue that Kaiserreich is comparable to LOTR in terms of its influence on AH; it's much moreso, IMO, than any published books.

To make things different, maybe Chen Jiongming's ideal of a United Provinces won out amongst the KMT?

It's mainly that in The Deluge that the US was considering investing in the new Chinese republic, with the assertion that even 5% of the aid given to the Entente might have been enough to stabilize it; absent US intervention in Europe they almost certainly continue their pre-war (and current IMO) trend towards disdaining Europe in favor of Latin America and SE Asia, so the region should be a US playground to a large degree, especially since they can take over seamlessly for the British Dominions (and prop up say Ho Chi Minh as leader of an independent Republic of Vietnam if the Germans try to colonize the province, ditto with British Malaysia and the Dutch Indies even). Germany in this context probably allies Japan and the Dutch, who are also locked out of the US-China axis and facing US backed "freedom fighters" in Korea, the Indies etc.
