Kaiser Heinrich.

What if Kaiser Wilhelm had not been born/died shortly after birth, and Heinrich, his younger brother rose to become Kaiser in his place? How would it change the course of history? I imagine it would change a great deal.

Well, according to Wiki (never heard of the guy before, no time to find better sources), Heinrich was humble and open, was a good diplomat, pragmatic, as well as a proponent of submarines and airplanes.

If we take this to the logical extreme, foreign policy under Henry I would be more mild than OTL under Wilhelm. Maybe Bismarck will stick around longer... and the various crises of the late 19th-early 20th century will be handled less militarily and more diplomatically. I suppose we could throw in a brand-spanking-new Kaiserliche Marine and Luftstreitkräfte for good measure.

Well if he keeps his personality which he had in the rest of his life, He would make a fine leader of Germany. He was not egotistical and he was not erratic, like his older brother. He was an excellent diplomat and very well liked and respected across Germany and Europe for that matter. He would have still been Victoria's oldest Grandson. He also would have most certainly agreed with a build up in the German Navy but nothing like his brother, and would most likely allow Bismark to do the grunt work. Germany would likely be an ally of Britain, with The British controlling the overseas world and German controlling Europe.
