In 1936, the Ultranationalist Kōdōha attempted a coup in Japan and occupied Tokyo, though it was supressed, many politicians were killed.
But what if, Kōdōha succeeded the coup? Would they intesify the presence in Manchukuo? The people in the political faction were very tolitarian, expansionist, and militaristic, so would that mean that they would be a tougher Japan to fight?

I remember when i was reading about 2-26 (26-2 in the UK) and how lol historyness it is. I mean the country basically waited around for a week while the military danced around the capital killing people. I dont think it would change anything much though.
